The Arizona Senior Golf Association uses the Stableford Scoring System for the regular season of 10 Events, beginning in December and concluding in April. The Stableford Scoring System is a popular scoring system that provides entertaining and competitive golf experiences for participants.  The Stableford Scoring System (SSS) uses Net scores on each hole. The SSS promotes aggressive play (since a high score on a particular hole will not ruin your round) while at the same time promoting pace of play since a player can pick up after reaching NET double bogey (which results in zero Stableford points on a particular hole). 

Each player should be aware of the number of strokes (if any) they receive on each hole prior to picking up your ball as opposed to completing the hole.  Beginning this current season of 2026-2027, the AZSGA SSS point distribution is as follows:

Net Double Eagle = 5 points

Net Eagle = 4 points

Net Birdie = 3 points

Net Par = 2 points

Net Bogey = 1 point

Net Double Bogey or higher = 0 points

*NOTE: A golfer competing in an event scored by the SSS will never receive a MINUS score on a hole
