Greetings AZSGA Members! We hope you all have enjoyed a terrific summer season. The Board and I are excited about what awaits us all as our 2026-2027 AZSGA Season is fast approaching. We have been hard at work renovating the AZSGA website and trust you will enjoy navigating this new site. To access the website simply search AZSGA.com. There you will find the 2026-2027 schedule of courses and links to click on and read about other exciting changes to your Association’s Events.
Our Association has been promoting golf throughout the Valley of the Sun for over 60 years - we encourage our membership to spread the word about AZSGA golf to potential new members to join our ranks. As we all know, playing in Arizona Senior Golf Association golf events is a great way to experience a variety of courses and meet new friends.
The composition of our 2026-2027 schedule has remained the same - ten events, two courses per month, December through April, all on Mondays. The Board was able to maintain a cost to play for our membership well below the club rack rate; a remarkable achievement considering the current golf market often makes obtaining a tee time challenging. You will also notice changes to the AZSGA competitions regarding a new handicap index program and event scoring.
The AZSGA members will also continue to enjoy benefits from our sponsors: the Dewane Wealth Management Group of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), PXG and the PGA Superstores. Our Association is also actively pursuing potential sponsorships with other local golf businesses. Why you may ask? These AZSGA sponsorship partnerships provide prizes/awards for the random team draw, skins, individual net par 72 and CP's/longest putt games that compose our regular season competitions in addition to the exciting, season-long RBC Seniors Cup competition (a total purse of $10,000 spread over 3 flights) and benefits such as club fitting and discounted pricing options. Our Association continues to be all about enjoying golf and fellowship - to enhance this experience the Board has contracted with Golf Games Keeper to support our website and registration/scoring operations. New content is being uploaded weekly to the AZSGA website - we encourage each of you to spend time navigating the site. We are looking forward to another great golf season and we want you to be a part of the fun!!
