AZSGA Tee Box Assignments

For the 2026-27 golf season the AZSGA will implement the following Tee Box

protocol.

AZSGA Events will again be using two separate tee boxes: the FORWARD

tees and the REGULAR tees.

AZSGA Event Coordinators will collaborate with the professional golf staff at each

venue to establish FORWARD tees with a playing range of 5,400 to 5,600 yards and the

STANDARD tees with a playing range of 5,900 to 6,100 yards. A player’s course

handicap will be calculated based on the tees they are playing at each AZSGA Event.

Tee box designations per flight are as follows:

A Flight golfers will play from the STANDARD tees in all tournaments.

B and C Flight players will play from the tee box they select Dec. 1, 2026. B/C Flight

players failing to communicate their preferred tee box by Dec. 1, 2026 will have their

designated tee box chosen for them by the AZSGA Event Coordinators. Any B and C Flight

players joining AZSGA after December 1st will have the opportunity to select their tee boxes

at time of registration.

Once the tee box selections for B/C Flight players are chosen the player must play

from that tee throughout the season.

The AZSGA will allow a B/C Flight player an opportunity to make ONE tee box change

during the course of the season. Once this change request is made and approved the

player MUST play from the new chosen tee box for the remainder of the season
